Preparing PDFs for Use on the BCIT Public Website

Placing PDF documents on a website is rarely appropriate. In almost all cases, presenting your content on a webpage will make for a more user-friendly experience.

Most people create their documents in Microsoft Word, save them and then convert them to PDFs. If you are working in Word, try to minimize file size by using images that are pre-sized as small as possible.

If you need a fillable form created, please contact the Imaging department, as they have the expertise to create these tricky documents correctly.

We’ve updated this document to include a section on making your PDFs accessible.
