How to meet this standard
- Limit collection of user data to what is relevant and necessary
- Use a BCIT controlled form to collect information
- BCIT uses Gravity Forms form builder tool to create all web forms on public website. Only IT Services have access to create and maintain forms.
- Include a privacy statement or a collection notice
- Protect user data
- Only use data for the purposes it was collected for, or what the user consented to.
- Follow the correct steps when downloading Gravity Forms data in WordPress.
- Manage Mailing Lists for program and course subscription lists and unsubscribe email addresses as needed.
- Limit access to, and disclosure of, personal information you’ve collected.
