Note
As of June 1, 2026 BCIT has transitioned away from using Apporto to facilitate remote connections to BCIT Computer lab computers as well as providing access to general-use BCIT Virtual Desktops and most Specialized Applications. For more information on how to access these technologies, please refer to Remotely connecting to BCIT lab computers.
Apporto is a cloud-based platform designed to provide access to specialized Virtual Desktops for course delivery. Apporto is only available to students and instructors of specific courses and should only be used if you have been instructed to use an Apporto Virtual Desktop for course work by your instructor.
Please refer to the Remotely connecting to a BCIT lab computer knowledge base article if you’re required to connect to a BCIT computer for the follow reasons:
- If you’re on macOS and need to run software that isn’t compatible with your system
- If you require remote access to an on-campus computer lab

Note: The path to your home drives uses your BCIT ID (the A0… that appears number on your BCIT ID card) in two ways (in full and the last digit only). The format is as follows:

A second print menu will appear.
