Changing User Preferences in Banner 9

If User Preferences is active for a page, you will see the Settings button in the panel for each section, block and tab of that page.

Note: All Users are assigned access to specific Banner security classes according to the needs of their specific role at BCIT. The pages used in the following example screenshots may not be accessible to all Users.

1. Enter a Banner QUERY page that has an active Settings icon.
   
2. Open up any other filter boxes that you want to become a default.
   
3. Click on the Settings icon and select Save Filter Settings. This will assign these selections to be a part of your default filter boxes.
   A confirmation message will pop up confirming a successful save.
   

FYI: The user also has the ability to save the search values they enter inside the filter boxes.

1. Enter a Banner QUERY page that has an active Settings icon.
   
2. Drag columns over to areas of your preference; expand/minimize column widths if necessary.
   NOTE: The headers of the columns you amend will be highlighted in blue, to indicate that you adjusted the default column settings.
   
3. Click on the Settings icon and select Save Column Settings.
   
   A confirmation message will pop up confirming a successful save.

2. Select your new pagination number, click on the Settings icon and select Save Pagination Settings.
