About BCIT Employee Software Licensing

BCIT has several software packages available to staff and students under a number of different software licensing agreements.

For each licensing agreement there is specific information provided in the table.

For best results, always consult BCIT Purchasing department before buying software. BCIT Purchasing is knowledgeable of our existing licensing agreements and can advise you how to best order the product you need. Ordering software directly from a vendor without involving BCIT Purchasing runs the risk of missing out on any existing agreements and discounts.

To obtain a license for software

  1. Check for existing licensing agreements (see below).
  2. Check with your departmental office if you already have licensing from another program such as Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching.
  3. Contact BCIT Purchasing with a request.
  4. Create a Purchase Requisition (PR) for a one-time purchase.
  5. Send the PR to Purchasing.
  6. Verify receipt of goods from shipping (it may be digital objects only and no physical media. You will need to notify Purchasing you ‘received’ these digital items.
