Below shows the software installed on the staff & faculty image as of June 29, 2021 when deployed from IT Services:

  • Banner Xtender – Plugins required for using Banner Xtender
  • Citrix Workspace
  • Citrix ShareFile Sync (Citrix Files)
  • Cisco Jabber – Instant messaging and phone calls
  • Cisco ViewMail for Outlook – Play voicemails directly in Outlook
  • Cisco Webex Meetings
  • Oracle Java – Version 8 update 74 for Banner
  • Computer Info – Quick display of system information
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Office 2019 – Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Visio
  • MyVPN (Virtual Intranet Access) – Allows connection to BCIT network
  • Sharelink – Allows connection to Sharelink capable TV displays on campus
  • Software Center – An application to get additional deployed software
  • Zoom

  • Cognos Impromptu – For generating reports. Not the same as the website reports.bcit.ca
  • Cisco Desktop Agent and/or Cisco Supervisor – For areas with call distribution
  • Cherwell Service Management – IT Service Management and Enterprise Service Management
  • FADB, IDA, Scheduler, etc. – Microsoft Access Databases for some departments
  • Practice Manager – For MedServices
  • Snagit – Request required
