Starting in October 2023, some features of Adobe products (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and more) contain Generative AI features. These features require some Adobe Cloud storage to function which is not available by default to Flexible Learning Students who do not have a personal subscription and are using lab licensing only.
- Full-time students and Flexible Learning students with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription have 100GB of storage and will be able to use these features.
- Students without an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription will see this error as they have no storage available to their credentials.
- Students with a Lab Use Only account (credentials, but no storage) will see this error as they have no storage available to their credentials.
Currently, there are two solutions for this problem.
- Student should be instructed to claim a free Adobe subscription if it is available to them. This will provision credentials and storage needed to access.
- Instructor ensures all of their students have a Lab Use Account. Instructor may then supply a class list to IT Services, and IT can add 2GB of storage to each student with a lab use account. IT cannot add storage to accounts that do not already exist.
We expect this issue to be relevant only until January 2024.
