The downloadable PDF templates below are fully fillable forms if you want to use them as-is, but are primarily meant to be used as guidelines. You can make notes or collect data into any of them, but particularly with empathy maps and journey maps, these activities are most often workshops with whiteboard exercises. You can edit and save these from most browser PDF plugins, Acrobat or Preview on the Mac.

We also have BCIT prospective student personas you can use as-is for digital, product or service design activities, and they make ideal starting points for customer journey mapping exercises for prospective students. Completed in spring/summer 2022, they were based on extensive data from over 700 research responses. You can download these in PNG format below in a single zip file, and use the ones that best represent your users, either as-is, or as a starting point to flesh out further.
