Accessing Cherwell Service Management

Cherwell Service Management is a service management platform that supports service departments in managing work requests to better support our students and employees.

You can use Cherwell via an installed application on a BCIT issued Windows 10 device, or as an app provided through Workspace. If you are using Cherwell on a BCIT issued Windows 10 device, you must be connected to the network on campus or via myVPN while working remotely.

 

Install Cherwell on a BCIT issued Windows 10 device

Install the Cherwell Service Management Application

  1. Go to: https://techhelp.bcit.ca/cherwellautodeploy/
  2. Click “Cherwell Service Management”
  3. Open the downloaded file to begin the installation.
  4. Click through the installer and keep all of the default settings.
  5. Click Install
  6. Open Cherwell via the icon on your desktop.
  7. Log in with your usual BCIT credentials.

How to access Cherwell through Workspace (For Mac users and to work at home – Preferred)

  1. Open Workspace at https://workspace.bcit.ca
  2. Login with your network credentials
  3. Under apps, search for “Cherwell”
  4. Click on the Cherwell icon to launch.The Cherwell Service Management Logo

How to access Cherwell through a web browser (For Mac users and to work at Home)

  1. In any browser visit: https://techhelp.bcit.ca/cherwellclient.
  2. Login with your network credentials.
