Before you leave for vacation or other extended absence, it is important to set an alternate greeting on your Voicemail for people who may phone in your absence. The alternate greeting should include
- The dates during which you will be out of the office.
- Whether or not you will be checking your voice mail during this period.
- The name of another staff member or department phone number that can be contacted in your absence.
You also have the option of setting an automatic expiry date for the temporary greeting.
